Boondi Raita

Boondi is made up of gram flour, which looks like golden pearls these are fried. boondi you can buy in any Indian grocery stores easily .

Ingredients:

  1. 1 cup boondi,
  2. 1-1/2 cups yogurt
  3. 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  4. 1/2 teaspoon Black salt
  5. 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin seed powder
  6. 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  7. About 1 table spoon mint leaves chopped
  8. Few mint to garnish leaves

Method

1.      Soak boondi in the warm water for about 10 minutes.

2.      Lightly squeeze the boondies in your palms, don’t mash them.

3.      Whisk the yogurt in a bowl. If yogurt if too thick add water as needed. Yogurt should be the consistency of pancake batter.

4.      Add all the spices salt, black salt cumin seed powder, chili powder, and chopped mint leaves mix it well.

5.      Add the boondi and mix.

6.      Garnish boondi raita with mint leaves.

Boondi raita can be served cold or at room temperature.
